Unzip, drag RED EYE to Applications. If macOS blocks it: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Windows

AppImage: chmod +x, then double-click. .deb: sudo apt install ./RED-EYE-Linux.deb. Best with Chrome installed.

Frequently asked questions
Is RED EYE really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no limits on exports.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device. Your video and audio never leave it.
How accurate are the captions?
Very good for clear speech in English, Hindi and major Indian languages. You can fix any word in the editor, and spell check helps you catch mistakes.
Which languages are supported?
22 Indian languages plus Hinglish and English. Auto subtitles work for Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu and more. For Odia, Konkani and a few others you can type or import an SRT, with the right fonts.
Can I use the captions in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve?
Yes. Export SRT for editable subtitles, or green screen video to key animated captions over your edit.
What does the voice enhancer do?
It removes background noise, reduces echo and sets loudness right for reels (−14 LUFS, no clipping). You can also download the clean voice as WAV.
Why is the first start slow?
The first time, RED EYE downloads its speech AI (about a minute). After that it starts fast and works offline.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, in Safari on iOS 17 or newer. For long videos a laptop is faster.
